Back in the day, handheld gaming meant slipping AA batteries into a Game Boy and hoping your save file didn’t vanish with a sneeze. Fast forward past the PSP era, through the Switch’s heyday, and here we are – surrounded by sleek, cloud-connected consoles that look like they could file your taxes if you asked nicely. Into this already-packed arena walks the Abxylute One Pro, strutting like it knows something the others don’t. Spoiler: it kind of does.

The One Pro isn’t trying to outgun a Steam Deck or push frame rates like a ROG Ally. That’s not its lane. What it offers instead is something far more focused – and frankly, way more fun. This is a machine that understands handheld gaming isn’t always about performance brute force. Sometimes it’s about slipping into retro bliss, emulating PS2 titles flawlessly, and doing it all without melting your palms or draining your wallet.

Powered by the MediaTek Genio 510, the One Pro gets a solid boost over the OG Abxylute. This chip isn’t exactly a household name, but under the hood it’s no slouch. We’re talking dual Cortex-A78 cores backed by four Cortex-A55s – enough to push 60fps on PS2 emulation, which is kind of the sweet spot for most old-school titles. Paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable to 2TB), it’s well equipped for managing retro libraries, mobile games, and light Android multitasking.

And yes, it’s running Android 13, which means Google Play Store access is baked in. Emulators? Check. Remote play for Steam, PS5, and Xbox? You bet. Mobile games and streaming? Abxylutely (geddit?). But what makes the One Pro feel unusually tuned-in is how it’s tailored to the hands of gamers who actually care about control fidelity.

The joysticks are a big deal here. These aren’t the mini thumb-nubs you find on cheaper handhelds or Joy-Con imitators. They’re full-sized capacitive digital joysticks, which should mean better accuracy, less drift, and a bit of that Xbox-controller muscle memory. For something this compact, that’s a surprisingly premium touch – and one that’ll matter when you’re trying to stick a landing in Tony Hawk or line up a sniper shot in Metal Gear Solid 3.

Display-wise, you’re getting a 7-inch 1080p LTPS screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. It’s not OLED, but for the price point it’s respectable – colors are punchy, motion feels smooth, and the screen size hits that ergonomic sweet spot. The design goes semi-transparent, evoking that late ’90s aesthetic like it just walked out of a Toys“R”Us catalog – but the vibe works. It’s retro without being cosplay.

You’ll also find touchscreen mapping tools, controller customization, and even 4K video output – ideal if you’re hooking this up to a TV or some wild AR glasses setup. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5 with MU-MIMO (so your game stream won’t choke), Bluetooth, and USB-C for charging or docking. The 5,200mAh battery promises up to 8 hours of use, which feels just right – not marathon-level, but good enough to get you through a long flight or a Sunday couch session.

Size-wise, it clocks in at 250mm x 115mm x 30mm and weighs 430 grams. That’s chunky enough to feel sturdy without veering into wrist-cramp territory. Luckily, it’s still hyper-compact, leaning into Switch Lite or Legion Go S territory, which makes it perfect for on-the-go gaming… and although the abxylute One Pro doesn’t really ship with a protective case, you can grab a nifty soft-shell carry case on abxylute’s website for pretty cheap, complete with mesh pockets for keeping things like charging cables, MicroSD cards, and whatnot.

The Kickstarter launched on March 27, with early bird pricing at $209, and the full retail price landing at $249. Shipping kicks off mid-to-late May, so it won’t be long before you get the unit in your hands – and the sooner the better, judging by the whole tariff-measuring competition the US and China are having…

It’s a clever mashup of Starbucks style and video game nostalgia, making every sip or slurp a little more playful.

Designer: Starbucks

The collection is full of creative drinkware that captures the spirit of classic gaming and Bearista’s endless charm. The ceramic mug stands out with its raised color decal and debossed lines, giving you a textured feel and an extra pop of personality. Meanwhile, the stainless steel cold cup features a built-in silicone handle, perfect for those who want their drinks as cool as their style.

For fans of bold summer vibes, the plastic cold cup is a showstopper. It pops with bright colors and a fun foil insert where Bearista appears to be on a mission: collecting coffee beans for the ultimate high score. The finishing touch is the adorable heart-shaped stopper in a 3D pixel style, an irresistible detail for collectors and anyone wanting to brighten up their day.

One of the most magical pieces is the color-changing ceramic cup, which features a heat-sensitive decal that shifts hues as you fill it with your favorite hot drink. Watching the design transform feels like unlocking power-ups and discovering Easter eggs, and it’s sure to put a smile on anyone’s face, whether you’re starting your morning or powering through a busy afternoon.

Mobile gaming fans know the struggle: you want the raw power of a gaming phone, but not everyone wants to carry around a chunky device that screams “gamer” from a mile away. It feels like you’re always forced to pick between beastly specs or a phone you wouldn’t be embarrassed to pull out at lunch. The RedMagic 10 Air steps in to say you can have your cake and eat it too.

Standard flagship phones can handle a round of Genshin Impact just fine, but gaming smartphones are designed for people who want every advantage possible. Usually, that means phones so thick and heavy they could double as a paperweight, with flashy designs that leave no doubt about their purpose. The RedMagic 10 Air flips the script by packing serious gaming muscle into a slim, understated body.

Designer: RedMagic (nubia)

Compared to its big sibling, the RedMagic 10 Pro, which boasts an 8.9mm profile, the 10 Air shaves things down to just 7.8mm according to official numbers. For perspective, that’s even slimmer than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, a device often praised for its sleekness. It may just be the thinnest gaming phone around right now, making it easy to slip into pockets and blend in on any occasion.

What’s wild is that RedMagic doesn’t sacrifice much to pull off this slim look. Inside is a Snapdragon 8 Gen3, which still delivers top-tier performance for the latest games. The camera setup skips the gimmicky macro lens but keeps a strong dual 50MP wide and ultrawide combo. The battery is slightly smaller at 6,000mAh, but it charges up fast with 80W support, so you’re never sidelined for long.

One feature longtime fans might notice missing is the iconic cooling fan found in previous RedMagic models. With its thinner build, the 10 Air relies on passive cooling to keep temperatures manageable. While there’s no whirring fan sound, the phone’s performance promises to remain steady, even during marathon sessions of your favorite titles.

On the outside, the minimalist design of the RedMagic 10 Air keeps things refreshingly simple. Except for a bold orange version that sports a narrow LED strip for a pop of character, there’s little to tip off its gaming pedigree. For mobile gamers who want powerhouse specs in a phone that looks at home anywhere, the RedMagic 10 Air is shaping up to be a game-changer.

As anticipation builds for the release of Bethesda and id Software’s Doom: The Dark Ages, Xbox has unveiled a new line of limited-edition accessories that are sure to get any Slayer’s heart pounding. Leading the charge are two stunning, Doom-themed controllers designed to immerse you even further in the medieval-futuristic gorefest. If you like your controllers to match the game you’re playing or you just want something that’s cooler than your normal controllers, then it’s something to look forward to.

Designer: Microsoft

For the purists and the armor enthusiasts, the standard Xbox Wireless Controller gets a demonic makeover. Inspired by the Doom Slayer’s iconic armor, the Xbox Wireless Controller – Doom: The Dark Ages Limited Edition features a striking matte green finish accented by silver 3D helmet spike designs. Orange details and insignias from Doom: The Dark Ages complete the look, while the ABXY buttons are replaced with symbols from the game’s Sentinel alphabet, adding an extra layer of authenticity. Beyond its menacing aesthetics, this controller functions just like a standard Xbox Wireless Controller, offering seamless compatibility with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PCs (via Bluetooth or USB-C), and cloud gaming services. As a bloody good bonus, each purchase includes a DLC code for the Doom Slayer Executioner skin in Doom: The Dark Ages, letting you customize your in-game appearance. This limited edition controller is slated for release on April 30th and is priced at $79.99 USD or £74.99 GBP.

For those who demand the very best in performance and customization, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is also receiving a Doom-inspired treatment. This premium controller boasts a more sinister red and black color scheme, with transparent red sections allowing you to glimpse the internal components. The iconic Doom Slayer’s insignia takes center stage, proudly displayed in the middle of the controller. As a Microsoft Store exclusive launching on April 25th, this Elite controller offers the same high-end features players have come to expect, including customizable thumbsticks, adjustable triggers, and a suite of button mapping options. While pricing details specific to this edition are still emerging, expect it to be in line with the standard Elite Series 2 controller.

The Doom-themed love doesn’t stop at controllers. Xbox is also releasing a limited-edition Xbox Series X Console Wrap – Doom: The Dark Ages Limited Edition. This wrap allows you to emblazon your console with the mark of the Slayer, featuring artwork that complements the controller designs. This is available exclusively through the Microsoft Store for a limited time, priced at £49.99 GBP. Remember to remove the wrap before handling the console! For eager fans, pre-orders for both the standard and Elite Doom: The Dark Ages controllers, as well as the console wrap, are already live at various retailers, including the Microsoft Store and Amazon. With Doom: The Dark Ages set to launch on May 15th, these accessories are the perfect way to prepare for the demonic onslaught and showcase your Slayer pride.

Chess has captivated strategic minds for centuries. Now, Rolls-Royce has transformed this timeless battle of wits into an extraordinary artifact of luxury craftsmanship. The new Rolls-Royce Chess Set represents far more than a playing board and pieces – it’s an extension of the brand’s philosophy into the homes of discerning clients who appreciate both heritage and innovation.

Designer: ROLLS-ROYCE

The set’s design immediately communicates its prestigious origins. Sleek, contemporary lines blend with theatrical functionality to create an experience that begins well before the first move is played. Having examined the images and details provided, I’m struck by how thoroughly the designers have considered every element of the chess experience, from the dramatic unveiling of pieces to the satisfying tactile sensation of each move.

A THEATRICAL ENTRANCE

First impressions matter, whether stepping into a Phantom or preparing for a chess match. The Rolls-Royce Chess Set opens with a single, fluid motion that mirrors the brand’s signature coach doors. This theatrical unveiling sets the stage for what’s to come. The board doesn’t merely open – it performs, with a leather-lined holder that elevates to present the magnetized pieces in an elegant, ceremonial fashion.

This sense of occasion transforms a simple game setup into a ritual worthy of the Rolls-Royce name. The leather-clad base rises gently from the center, creating the illusion that the board floats above its narrow footprint. These waft lines, reminiscent of the marque’s motor cars, establish a visual connection between the chess set and the vehicles that inspired it.

ENGINEERED FOR PERFECTION

Six different magnet types were tested before the design team found the perfect balance. Too strong, and the pieces would be difficult to move; too weak, and they’d lack stability. The chosen magnets provide just enough force to keep pieces perfectly aligned during play while allowing them to glide effortlessly across the board’s surface. This attention to detail creates a sense of precision with each move – deliberate, decisive, and deeply satisfying.

Hidden drawers on each side of the board open with the lightest touch, revealing storage for additional queens when pawns are promoted during play. These thoughtful touches demonstrate an understanding of chess that goes beyond aesthetics. The designers clearly considered how the game is actually played, incorporating functional elements that enhance the experience without sacrificing beauty.

SCULPTURAL PIECES THAT COMMAND ATTENTION

The chess pieces themselves are miniature works of art. Each is precision-crafted with faceted surfaces that transform traditional chess piece profiles into modern, sculptural forms. The designers have taken traditional silhouettes and extruded them downward into square bases, creating pieces that are both familiar and distinctly contemporary.

Made from ceramic-coated aluminum, each piece contains a hidden magnet and features a jewel-like polished stainless-steel head. The weight and cool-to-the-touch quality deliberately evoke the solid-metal organ stops found in Rolls-Royce motor cars – creating a tactile connection between playing chess and driving a Rolls-Royce. Black pieces receive a sophisticated satin finish, while white pieces feature a subtle iridescent treatment that catches the light as they move across the board.

MATERIALS WORTHY OF THE MARQUE

Rolls-Royce has applied the same exacting standards to this chess set that they bring to their motorcars. The playing board incorporates a machine-milled aluminum grid, hand-refined to achieve precise definition at the corners – a delicate process, as the fine metal bends easily. Laser-cut veneer squares are placed by hand, with all pieces crafted from the same log to ensure consistent grain patterns and uniform aging over time.

The set offers four veneer combinations, each arranged in a diamond pattern when viewed from above. High-gloss options include Blackwood with Ceramic White and Macassar Ebony with Royal Walnut. For those preferring a more subtle finish, Open Pore treatments in Smoked Eucalyptus with Paldao and Obsidian Ayous with Blackwood are also available.

Personalization extends to the leather elements as well. Clients can select from thirteen distinct Rolls-Royce leather colors – from classic Black to bold options like Forge Yellow, Peony Pink, and Lime Green – allowing them to tailor both the exterior and chess piece holder to complement their home décor or match their Rolls-Royce motor car.

A YEAR OF METICULOUS DEVELOPMENT

The Chess Set represents a full year of design, engineering, and experimentation. This investment of time speaks to Rolls-Royce’s commitment to getting every detail right. The aluminum grid required particular attention, with designers developing specialized techniques to achieve the precise corner definition that gives the board its distinctive character.

Polished aluminum edges frame the generously sized board and chess piece holder, and a discreet Spirit of Ecstasy emblem is affixed to the front and back—a subtle reminder of the set’s prestigious origins. These finishing touches elevate the chess set from a mere game to a collector’s item.

THE ULTIMATE EXPRESSION OF HOME LUXURY

What makes this chess set particularly fascinating is how it translates Rolls-Royce’s automotive design language into a home accessory. The floating appearance, theatrical movements, and material authenticity all draw direct inspiration from the marque’s vehicles. Yet the chess set never feels derivative – it stands as its own achievement while maintaining a clear family resemblance.

As Nick Abrams, Accessories Designer at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, notes, this set offers a natural extension of the brand into the homes of Rolls-Royce clients who enjoy chess “often at an extremely high level. ” It brings the same sense of occasion and craftsmanship they expect from their motorcars to a game that rewards patience, strategy, and appreciation for tradition—values that align perfectly with the Rolls-Royce ethos.

The Rolls-Royce Chess Set is now available for commission through Rolls-Royce showrooms and Private Office boutiques worldwide. For those who view chess not merely as a game but as an intellectual pursuit worthy of the finest accoutrements, this extraordinary creation represents the ultimate playing experience – one where every move feels like a special occasion.

The handheld gaming PC market just got a lot more colorful. Shenzhen-based One-Netbook has unveiled its upcoming OneXPlayer Youxia X1 Pro EVA Limited Edition, a striking collaboration that marries cutting-edge portable gaming technology with one of anime’s most iconic franchises.

Designer: One-Netbook

This isn’t just another gaming device with a fancy paint job. The new limited edition model features a globally exclusive “Unit-02 Asuka” color scheme inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion, the groundbreaking anime series that continues to influence popular culture decades after its debut.

What immediately catches the eye is the bold red and orange chassis, instantly recognizable to fans of the series as Asuka Langley Soryu’s distinctive EVA unit. One-Netbook has gone beyond mere aesthetic homage, incorporating dynamic RGB light blade effects that recreate the anime’s tense “cockpit combat atmosphere” when gaming. The attention to detail extends throughout the design, with the CNC-machined aviation-grade aluminum alloy frame featuring numerous franchise-specific industrial design elements.

But impressive visuals mean nothing without the hardware to back them up.

Powerhouse Performance in Your Hands

At the heart of this special edition device beats Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 255H processor, part of the new Arrow Lake-H series. This 16-core chip can boost up to 5.1GHz, providing substantial computing power that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in a handheld form factor.

Graphics processing comes courtesy of the integrated Intel Arc 140T GPU, which early benchmarks suggest performs comparably to the Radeon 890M found in the AMD variant of the X1 Pro. Interestingly, the Arc 140T appears to outperform its AMD counterpart in non-gaming benchmarks, suggesting superior general computing capabilities.

The device comes loaded with 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8400MHz and a spacious 2TB PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD storage solution. This combination delivers considerable horsepower for both gaming and productivity tasks, ensuring the device can handle everything from AAA gaming titles to creative workloads.

Visual fidelity is maintained through a 10.95-inch 2560×1600 (2.5K) fully laminated LTPS display running at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This high-quality touchscreen provides an immersive visual experience, whether you’re deep in a gaming session or consuming media.

Versatility Redefined

What truly sets the OneXPlayer X1 Pro apart from other gaming handhelds is its innovative modular design. The device features detachable controllers that support three distinct usage modes:

  • Combined handheld configuration for traditional portable gaming
  • Separated tablet/controller setup for a more comfortable experience
  • External keyboard/mouse peripheral connectivity for productivity tasks

This “3-in-1 PC hybrid” approach redefines portable gaming by allowing seamless transitions between handheld gaming, tablet productivity, and desktop workstation modes. The included magnetic keyboard attachment and controller stand further enhance this versatility.

For serious gamers, the controllers feature Hall-effect linear triggers and dual customizable rear buttons in an Xbox-style layout, providing precise control and customization options.

Connectivity and Expansion

One notable hardware upgrade in this model is the shift from USB4 to Thunderbolt 4 ports, offering improved peripheral compatibility and data transfer speeds. The device also includes a USB-A 3.2 port and microSD card reader for additional connectivity options.

An OCuLink port provides eGPU support, allowing users to connect external graphics cards for enhanced performance when docked. This feature essentially transforms the handheld into a capable gaming desktop when at home.

Wireless connectivity hasn’t been overlooked either, with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 ensuring fast and reliable wireless connections for online gaming and peripheral pairing.

Limited Availability and Pricing

As with most limited edition collaborations, the OneXPlayer X1 Pro EVA Asuka Edition will be produced in restricted quantities, making it a potentially valuable collector’s item for both gaming enthusiasts and Evangelion fans.

While official pricing hasn’t been announced, it’s expected to command a premium over the standard X1 Pro models. For reference, the 2023 Youxia X1 Pro model, equipped with AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, launched with configurations starting at 8,699 RMB (approximately $1,200 USD).

Based on recent information, the EVA Limited Edition with its 64GB RAM and 2TB storage configuration is likely to be priced around $1,649.99, positioning it firmly in the high-end segment of the handheld gaming PC market.

Final Thoughts

The OneXPlayer X1 Pro EVA Asuka Limited Edition represents a significant advancement in portable gaming PC technology. By combining Intel’s powerful Arrow Lake-H processor with ample RAM and storage in a versatile 3-in-1 form factor, it offers genuine desktop-class performance in a device that can function as a handheld console, tablet, and laptop.

The Evangelion-inspired design adds collecting appeal beyond pure technical specifications, though the premium price point positions it firmly in the high-end segment of the market. For enthusiasts seeking maximum performance in a portable form factor—particularly those with an appreciation for anime aesthetics—this limited edition represents a compelling, if expensive, option in the increasingly competitive handheld gaming PC landscape.

One-Netbook’s collaboration with the Evangelion franchise demonstrates how gaming hardware is increasingly intersecting with pop culture, creating devices that serve as both functional tools and collectible expressions of fandom. Whether this trend continues will likely depend on the success of limited runs like this one.

Pre-orders are expected to open soon, with shipping anticipated to begin between April 15 and April 30, 2025. Given the limited production run, interested buyers are encouraged to act quickly once sales begin.

Nintendo Switch 2 is making all the news since its unveiling last week. After a lull of more than five years, Nintendo wanted to give the most popular gaming handheld a good dose of upgrades to entice existing Switch users, as well as new gamers. The highly anticipated console will be coming out on June 5 (unless US tariffs mess plans and the price too), and along comes an assortment of accessories for the gaming handheld. Already, a couple have been announced – the Genki’s Switch 2 cases and the Piranha Plant Camera that bring unique functionality and uses for the handheld.

Now, Nintendo has officially announced the GameCube controller for Switch 2 that looks eerily similar to the original one released in 2001. The classic wireless controller will arrive alongside the Switch 2, so that’s exciting news for Nintendo fans. This controller will only be compatible with GameCube and Nintendo Classics, so don’t expect to play Hades 2 or Mario Kart World with this controller. The only thing we can expect is that the existing GameCube adapters should work with the new GameCube controller.

Designer: Nintendo

The nostalgic element of this game controller is real, but when it comes to functionality, it is limited to just a handful of titles accessible via the Switch Online + Expansion library. This would deter gamers who want to test the capabilities of the Switch 2 with the newer, more graphics and resource-intensive titles. That said, Nintendo will bring USB-C charging and Bluetooth connectivity to the GameCube controller. Added to the mix will be some extra buttons, including the newer C button that activates the GameChat features. There will be Home, Screenshot and ZL buttons for players who are content with the classic titles that this old school boy can play.

The GameCube controller will be available only to Switch Online subscribers, exclusively through Nintendo online stores. This to prevent scalping and black marketing of the controller bought by scalpers who want to make easy profits by selling the accessory at inflated prices in markets where the controller will be less accessible. Nintendo is creating this retro-modern controller to keep their retro credentials strongly intact, and in the memories of gamers. For a game fan, this means the impulsive urge to go and buy this accessory will be a lingering compulsion, even though you might have the other Nintendo controllers in possession.

The price of the GameCube controller is still unknown, and we hope it doesn’t get affected by President Trump’s tariff threats that are looming large on the world. On a positive note, the original wired GameCube controller Adapter, compatible with the Wii U and Switch, works with the Switch 2. That means you can play the newer Switch 2 games on your TV with the old controller.

Gaming on the go is getting a major upgrade with the world’s first mobile controller designed specifically for XR glasses users. The Viture x 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Controller combines the trusted quality of 8BitDo’s gaming peripherals with innovative XR technology, creating a gaming setup that’s both portable and immersive. This groundbreaking collaboration addresses a long-standing pain point for mobile gamers who want the big-screen experience without lugging around bulky equipment.

Imagine playing your favorite AAA titles on what feels like a massive 135-inch display while sitting in a park, on a train, or lounging in bed. That’s the magic this controller brings to the table. Unlike traditional mobile gaming where you’re squinting at a small screen, this setup transforms your gaming sessions into cinematic experiences without sacrificing portability or comfort. The controller seamlessly bridges the gap between convenience and immersion that mobile gamers have been dreaming about.

Designer: Viture x 8BitDo

The standout feature is undoubtedly the dedicated USB-C port built right into the controller, designed specifically for connecting Viture XR glasses. This clever design solves a frustrating problem: when using XR glasses with a phone, you typically can’t use telescopic controllers that sandwich your device. The Viture x 8BitDo controller elegantly addresses this by allowing you to connect both your phone and XR glasses to a single device, keeping everything organized and functional.

Physical controls make a world of difference when gaming with XR glasses. When your vision is partially occupied by the glasses display, touchscreen controls become impractical and frustrating. The controller provides responsive buttons, analog sticks, and triggers that give you precise control without needing to look down at your phone’s screen. This setup creates a more natural gaming experience that feels closer to console gaming than traditional mobile play.

The controller connects to your phone via USB-C, significantly reducing input lag compared to Bluetooth alternatives. This wired connection ensures your button presses translate to on-screen actions almost instantly, which is crucial for competitive games where split-second reactions matter. The familiar layout will feel immediately comfortable to anyone who’s used modern gaming controllers, with no awkward learning curve to overcome before jumping into your favorite games.

Cloud gaming services shine particularly bright with this setup. The controller is optimized for platforms like Xbox Game Pass, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna, letting you stream console and PC games directly to your mobile device. The combination of cloud streaming and XR glasses effectively turns your phone into a portable gaming powerhouse without the processing limitations of mobile hardware. It’s like carrying a gaming PC in your pocket, ready to deploy anywhere with an internet connection.

Ever wished your desk could do more than just sit there looking boring? Say hello to the ALTI PLAY Performance Desk Mat, the workspace upgrade that’ll make both your gaming sessions and workdays way more awesome! It levels up your average desk mat into a multifunctional command center disguised as a sleek surface for your mouse and keyboard. With built-in wireless charging, customizable RGB lighting, and a premium feel that’ll make your setup Instagram-worthy, the ALTI PLAY is about to become your desk’s new best friend.

What makes this mat truly special is how it seamlessly blends functionality with that “gotta have it” factor that’ll make your gaming buddies green with envy. The large 900 x 400mm surface gives you plenty of room for sweeping mouse movements during intense gaming sessions, while the precision-engineered surface ensures your every click and drag is smooth as butter. Plus, with its water-resistant design, you can say goodbye to panic attacks when you inevitably knock over your energy drink during that crucial boss battle.

Designer: Journey

The star of the show has to be the removable magnetic charging panel that attaches to either side of the mat. This clever little addition packs a 15W fast wireless charger that’ll juice up your phone or earbuds while you’re fragging enemies or crushing spreadsheets. No more fumbling with cables or watching your battery percentage drop during marathon gaming sessions. Just place your device on the pad and keep your focus where it belongs: on dominating the leaderboards.

RGB lighting isn’t just for show (though it does look pretty sweet) and the customizable edge lighting on the ALTI PLAY can sync with your gaming setup to create an immersive atmosphere that pulls you deeper into your virtual worlds. The subtle glow adds just the right amount of flair without being distracting, and you can easily adjust brightness levels or turn it off completely when you’re switching from gaming mode to work mode. Your desk setup just leveled up from “functional” to “fantastically cool” with minimal effort.

Setup couldn’t be easier: just connect the USB-C cable to your computer or power adapter, and you’re ready to go. The mat’s slim profile keeps it from feeling bulky on your desk, while still providing enough cushioning to make long gaming or working sessions comfortable on your wrists. And unlike those cheap mats that curl up at the edges after a few weeks, the ALTI PLAY stays perfectly flat thanks to its premium construction and weighted design. It’s the kind of accessory that makes you wonder how you ever lived without it once you’ve experienced the difference.
